오늘의 주제는 반려동물 산업입니다.

1) 일단 2번정도 듣는다. 

2) script를 보지 않고 문장을 들리는 데로 써본다. 

3) 다시 듣는다. 

4) 스크립트를 보면서 여러번 들으면서 따라서 발음을 해본다. 

5) 거의 외워질 정도로 반복 청취한다.

Talk about the booming pet industry in Korea.

 

The number of households in Korea with companion animals has risen quickly.

Dog and cats are the most common.

According to recent tallies, a quater of all households have pets.

More and more people are living in single person households.

Many of them have pets to ward off loneliness.

Pets are alo helpful for building character, so parents often adopt pets for their kids.

In keeping with this trend, the pet industry is growing exponentially.

The number of veterinary clinics has spiked, and there are lots of stores selling pet suppliers.

Businesses that offer pet grooming services are a dime a dozen, and related jobs have become a promising line of work.

There are even TV channels specifically aimed at pets

급속도로 성장 중인 한국의 반려동물 산업에 대해 이야기해 주세요.

한국에서 반려동물을 기르는 가구 수가 급증했다.

가장 대표적으로 개와 고양이를 기른다.

최근 통계에 따르면 반려동물을 키우는 가구가 전체 가구의 1/4에 이른다고 한다.

혼자 사는 사람들의 비율이 늘어났고 이들 중 상당수가 외로움을 달래기 위해 반려동물을 키운다.

반려동물이 자녀의 인성 교육에도 도움이 된다는 이유로, 부모가 아이들을 위해 입양하는 경우도 많다.

이러한 추세에 발맞춰 반려동물 산업도 기하급수적으로 성장하고 있다.

동물병원의 수도 급증하고 반려동물 용품점들도 수없이 많이 생겨나고 있다.

또한 반려동물 미용 서비스를 제공하는 업체도 늘어났고,  이와 관련된 직종이 유망 직종으로 부상하고 있다.

반려동물들을 겨냥한 TV 전용 채널들이 생겨나기도 했다.

A: It's a sweater for my dog. I like it a lot, but it costs so much.
